William Bonac finishes as “the conqueror” in the 2018 Arnold Classic!

The 30th anniversary of the Arnold Classic that happened in Columbus, Ohio concluded last week and William Bonac, hailing from Ghana, managed to pull off an upset competing against the five time Arnold’s classic champion, Dexter Jackson and the defending champion Cedric McMillan.

William “the conqueror” Bonac is the proud owner of $130,000 winning his first major bodybuilding competition. He received the cheque from the man himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger.He also received a Tony Nowak official champion’s jacket and the champion’s trophy from Catherine Colle of Midway Labs USA and Eric Hillman of Optimum Nutrition.

Dexter Jackson and Cedric McMillan got the cheques of $75,000 and $50,000 respectively. Jackson also got a medal from ROGUE fitness and JanTana whereas McMillan received the cheque from animal and The Columbus Dispatch.

The veteran Roelly Winklaar finished 4th in the competition and he received a cheque of $30,000 from Blackstone labs and Bodybuilding.com.

Steve Kuclo and Lionel Beyeke were fifth and sixth respectively. The former got a pay-out of $15,000 while the latter got a pay-out of $10,000.

Others who competed were Justin Rodriquez, Jonathan De La Rosa, Lukas Osladil, Hidetada Yamagishi, Fred Smalls, Dennis Wolf, and Maxx Charles. They finished 7th through 13th in the order in which they are mentioned. Paul Poloczek also competed but did not finish.

After the conclusion of Arnold’s classic that happened in the USA, everyone’s attention has shifted to the Arnold Sports Festival happening in Australia from March 16-18, 2018.
